Colloidal silver nano-particles are said to be harmful to human cells according to the International Center Technology Assessment (ICTA), a US organization having an objective of making the community understands how the society is affected by technology, and the Friends of the Earth (FOE), an international group of environmental organizations.
But their idea that colloidal silver nano-particles cause harm to human cells was opposed by Dr. Robert O. Becker back in the 1970’s and 80’s. He tested electrically generated sub-microscopic silver particles to a human body and came up with a conclusion of having no harmful effects on human tissues and cells.
Using a low voltage electrical device called colloidal silver generator and silver electrodes, he surgically implanted the silver composition into his patients’ infected wounds and the nano-silver particles were directly placed into the human bones and tissues.
The colloidal silver nano-particles began healing the infections of the patients including the one who had Osteomyelitis, an infection of the bone which is resistant to antibiotics. Not only did silver treat the wounds, it also activated the regeneration of new tissues.
In June 2009, a journal of the American Chemical Society (ACS) published a research about colloidal silver not harming human cells. In fact, colloidal silver even acts to avoid blood clotting up to 40% and its presence in the bloodstream caused no harm in human cells making the claims of the no-to-silver organizations about silver causing the blood to thicken is now proven to be a misconception.
Nano-silver is now proven to be anti-bacterial and anti-platelet which is very helpful in coronary stents. Meaning, patients who have stents implanted in their arteries can be prevented from infections by the use of nano-silver.
It may also prevent blood clotting and clogging of blood platelets from the arteries to the heart but it is not advisable to inject nano-silver directly into your veins without seeking professional help because the solution still needs to be prepared to ensure the compatibility of the solution to the human body.
In India, scientists discovered colloidal silver as an alternative to aspirin and other anti-platelet agents to avoid blood clotting. They concluded that nano-silver particles might prevent clotting of blood in heart attack, coronary artery disease, and stroke patients.
Researchers said that patients today need new anti-platelet agents because the medications prescribed traditionally in India often caused excessive bleeding. The ACS reported how silver can be a big help in reducing the risk of the life threatening blood clot to humans by 40% and showing no harmful effects.
